Fishing at the Sardine Boats
Large schools of sardines gather in the waters of Istria. At night local sardine fishing boats use powerful lights to attract plankton and sardines, then surround the schools at dawn. This activity also attracts tuna. In the early morning hours we fish directly alongside the sardine boats, where the chances are highest.
Sunrise on the Adriatic and Dolphin Encounters
Adriatic sunrises are spectacular. Dolphins often accompany us near the sardine boats — and when the tuna strikes and the reel starts screaming, the moment becomes unforgettable.
Chumming and Chunking Techniques
During the day we use chunking and chumming techniques, creating a constant feeding trail that draws tuna toward the boat and encourages them to strike. Our boat is equipped with a special grinding system and sardine dispenser to maintain a steady feeding line.
Offshore Fishing with Trawlers
Trawler vessels move through the Adriatic collecting various species. Large tuna often follow them, waiting for discarded catch. We fish directly near these trawlers, often far offshore in international waters between the Croatian and Italian coast.
